February 2011		Friday	Milad un Nabi (Birthday of the Prophet), Sunni	Muslims all over the world remember, observe and celebrate the teaching of holy Prophet Muhammad. Milad-un-Nabi gatherings are held to spread the holy advent and sayings of Prophet Muhammad. It is also known as Birth of Prophet Muhammad.
March 2011		Wednesday	Milad un Nabi, Shia	Shia Muslims celebrate Milad un nabi (Birthday of the Prophet Muhammad) 5 days later.

August 2011		Wednesday	Ramadan Begins	The Holy month of Ramadan is the most sacred month in Muslim calendar. The Muslim followers throughout the world are required to fast each day of the entire holy month, from sunrise to sunset. The evenings are spent with friends, family and community meals are held along with special prayers to thanks the almighty God.
August 30 2011		-	Id-Ul-Fitr, Ramadan Ends	After the end of Ramadan month comes the most famous Eid al-fitr. On Eid day, Morning prayers are held in the mosque. Rest of the day is spent by visiting family, friends and distributing sweets.
